Play Therapy Manchester

Play Therapy Manchester is a school-based therapy service, which operates across South Manchester, aiming to benefit children and young people, through supported processing of social, emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties; enabling and empowering them to overcome obstacles, equip themselves to access their environments and enhance their wellbeing.

Joe

With over a decade of experience working with children and young people in a wide range of roles and settings, Joe is a PTUK-registered certified Play Therapist who offers a range of services, including Play & Creative Arts Therapy, Therapeutic Play and specialist Music-centred work. Prior to training with the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy, Joe worked as a Primary Teacher in mainstream education and a Music Specialist within SEND provisions, including challenging behaviour units, demonstrating a broad level of multidisciplinary experience and expertise.


Aside from a passion for art and music, Joe is a keen sportsperson with a strong affinity for football, having played at academy-level during childhood. Joe is currently trialling the delivery of a new, movement-based therapeutic service, called TheraFootball, tailored for individuals who might be more sport-inclined, to support emotional regulation, social communication and physical expression within a non-judgemental and supportive environment.
